Moberly Area Community College (MACC) is pleased to announce that the Hannibal Regional Economic Development Council (HREDC) has awarded the College a three year grant to expand workforce development efforts in the Hannibal region. This grant supports the collaborative HREDC Workforce Pipeline Initiative, which brings together multiple partners to strengthen the region’s talent pipeline through coordinated education and training strategies.
After careful consideration, MACC has appointed Wendy Johnson as the Director of Workforce Partnerships, effective May 1, 2026.
This new role will be a part of MACC’s Workforce Development Center and will focus on leading regional workforce strategies, deepening partnerships with business and industry, and expanding training and education pathways that respond directly to local workforce needs.

Wendy brings 27 years of service to MACC, including 26 years as Director of MACC–Hannibal, where she has been instrumental in building strong connections between the college and the regional community. Her work has consistently focused on creating opportunities that support both student success and regional growth.
Her leadership has been widely recognized. In 2025, she was named Businesswoman of the Year for the Hannibal region, and in 2024, she received MACC’s Distinguished Service Award for her outstanding contributions to the college and its service area.
