Langhorne MeatsHannibal, MO – Langhorne Meats and Provisions is excited to announce its grand opening this weekend, May 24-27. After a successful soft opening on April 13-15, the community is invited to celebrate and explore the high-quality, locally sourced meats now available.

Langhorne Meats and Provisions offers beef, pork, and poultry, from local farms committed to sustainability and animal welfare. The shop will be open on Friday 10-6, Saturday 8-4, Sunday 10-6 and Monday 10-6 located at 120 North Third Street.

“Langhorne Meats and Provisions is committed to supporting local farmers, producers, and artisans, prioritizing sustainability, ethical practices, and transparency in its sourcing,” says Nikki Barr, co-founder of Langhorne Meats and Provisions. “By forging partnerships with regional suppliers, we ensure that our customers have access to the freshest, highest-quality products while contributing to the prosperity of the local food ecosystem.”

At Langhorne Meats and Provisions, customers will find a wide variety of premium meats, such as hand- cut steaks, flavorful roasts, and house-made sausages using top-quality ingredients. Additionally, the provisions section features an assortment of artisanal products, including locally sourced cheeses, charcuterie and specialty condiments.

“This is only the beginning of what we have in store,” says Trevor Schultz, co-founder of Langhorne Meats. “With expanded space and infrastructure, we aim to broaden our selection of fresh cuts and provide custom cutting services for customers upon request.”

The business is planning to transition to its future permanent location, conveniently situated just across the street at 300 Broadway. This facility offers ample space to accommodate a full-service butcher shop, commercial kitchen, and retail store. Anticipated renovations for the completion of this project are expected to span over a year.

Langhorne Meats and Provisions has worked closely with the Hannibal Regional Economic Development Council (HREDC) and the Hannibal Industrial Development Company (HIDC) to establish their business. The support from these organizations, including the HIDC’s Revolving Loan Fund, has been instrumental in bringing this new business to Hannibal. Sean Freeman, Missouri SBDC, said, “HIDC is excited to offer loans to small businesses eager to invest in Hannibal and enhance the quality of life for our community!”
