While school is closed the Hannibal community is stepping up to make sure that our kids are receiving three nutritious meals each day.
The Hannibal School District will serve breakfast and lunch for students or families to take home Monday through Friday at multiple locations beginning March 23. All children (up to 18 years, or under 21 with disabilities) are eligible to receive free meals. A family does not need to participate with the free or reduced meal program to receive meals at this time. Children do not need to be present for a parent to pick up meals, nor do they need to be enrolled in the Hannibal Public Schools.
In addition to breakfast and lunch, Douglass Community Center will also provide a snack and supper for pick up during the same time frame. On Friday, Hannibal Alliance for Youth Success (HAYS) have buddy backpacks available for distribution to anyone who would like food items for the weekend.
